Mariah Alvarez Concert Choir, 3 year(s) in Blake Music Mariah Alvarez is more than happy to have been a member of Blake's choral music department since her freshman year. She was a member of the Women's Vocal Ensemble freshman year and then in Honors Concert Choir her sophomore and senior years. She served as the wardrobe manager and always brought smiles to everyone's faces everyday. Mariah will be attending Montgomery College in the fall to major in Fine Art.
Alexia Amick Symphonic Orchestra, 4 year(s) in Blake Music Alexia has been a member of Blake's symphonic orchestra all four years she has been at Blake. She would like to thank Mr. Eising and the viola section for helping her grow as a musician and leader, as well as her family for attending every performance and supporting her through this journey. She would also like to shout out The Bass Pro Shop Band. Alexia will be attending Palm Beach Atlantic University to major in communications.
Michael Audi Jazz Ensemble, 4 year(s) in Blake Music Michael Audi has been involved in the Blake Music Department for all four years of his high school career. He has been a member of the Blake High School Roaring Bengal Marching Band for all four years, Symphonic Band for three years, and the Jazz Ensemble for his last two years. He was proud to be a leader in many of these groups and especially hopes to see the saxophone section of the marching band grow :). He also wishes that the marching band would play "Can't Hold Us" more, since it is the best stand tune. Michael will be attending Coastal Carolina University in the fall to major in marine science.
Dawnelle Barreto Women's Vocal Ensemble, 1 year(s) in Blake Music Dawn Barreto is happy to have been a member of Women’s Vocal Ensemble this year! She brought her positive attitude and high energy every morning, along with her iced coffee from Dunkin Donuts. She enjoyed singing beautiful songs with her classmates and being a good role model for underclassmen. She would like to thank her friends for introducing her to the wonderful music department, as well as Mrs. Z for being a welcoming teacher. Dawn will be attending the University of Maryland, Baltimore County in the fall to major in biology.
Yasmine Becton Symphonic Orchestra & Concert Orchestra, 4 year(s) in Blake Music Yasmine Becton has been a member of Blake Music since her freshman year. Beginning with women’s choir and cello section leader in concert orchestra and earning her way into Tri-M. She has played in symphonic orchestra past three years earning her way to section leader. This past year she has also been a helping hand to concert orchestra. Yasmine will be continuing to Montgomery College for a semester and transferring to University of Maryland College Park in the spring. She will be majoring in Psychology with a minor in music performance.
Abigail Bonhag Symphonic Orchestra, 4 year(s) in Blake Music Abby Bonhag has been a member of the orchestra's at Blake since her freshman year. She started off in the concert orchestra as a freshman. Since her sophomore year, she has been a member of the symphonic orchestra. She has also been a member of the Tri-M music honors society since her sophomore year. Abby will be attending West Virginia University next year to study Forensic and Investigative Sciences.

She has been a part of Blake's concert band and symphonic band every year. After high school she plans to go to University of Maryland to study psychology.
Lilianne Cassamajor Symphonic Orchestra, 4 year(s) in Blake Music Lilianne Cassamajor has enjoyed being part of Blake's Instrumental Music Department for four years. She played the Cello in the Symphonic Orchestra, and was also a Color Guard member for the Roaring Bengals Marching Band for three years. Performing with her peers will be a memory she'll always have after high school. Lilianne will go on to pursue her education at Montgomery College for two years, then transfer to Hampton University for her Bachelors in Nursing, focusing on pediatrics.

She has been a member of Symphonic Orchestra's first violin section for all four years she has attended Blake. This fall, Hailey will be attending University of Maryland, Baltimore County majoring in Public Health.

Connor has been the accompanist for Women's Vocal Ensemble for two years, pianist in Jazz Ensemble, and the tenor section leader in A CAPPELLA! for the last year. Connor has also served as a music director and conductor for musicals both in and out of school. He will be attending Shenandoah University in the fall to major in Musical Theatre Accompanying.

She started off playing violin but after her freshman year, she realized that she enjoyed the sound of the cello much better. Kayode Fasaye Percussion Ensemble, 4 year(s) in Blake Music Kayode Fasaye is ecstatic to have been a part of the Blake instrumental music department since his freshman year. For four years he's served gallantly in the ranks of the percussion ensemble, and for three of those years he was in the R̶o̶c̶k̶v̶i̶l̶l̶e̶ Roaring Bengals marching band. During his last year he was one of the two bass drum section leaders. Kayode will be headed to UMBC in the fall to major in computer science.
Ella Gatlin A CAPPELLA!, 4 year(s) in Blake Music Ella Gatlin is utterly astonished that her time with the Blake Music Department is coming to a close. She was a member of Honors Concert Choir in her freshman year and has been a proud soprano of A CAPPELLA! since her sophomore year. Ella will be taking a gap year. She plans on working in addition to continuing performance studies. Ella would like to thank Mrs. Z for being the hardest working, most thoughtful, and most caring teacher she has ever had.
Kennedi Gedepoh Symphonic Orchestra, 4 year(s) in Blake Music Kennedi Gedepoh has been a part of Blake's instrumental music department since her freshman year. Her freshman year, she was a part of the Concert Orchestra where she played the violin and continued to play the rest of her 3 years of high school in the Symphonic Orchestra. She plans to attend Montgomery College and then transfer to a school of her choice. She is truly thankful for the work her music teacher, Mr. Eising, to help her become become a better musician. She definitely wants to make sure that it was his encouragement and not the donuts that improved her playing. She wants to make that very clear. She wishes the best for everyone in the music department especially the music teachers who have pushed her to do her best and succeed.
Liam Gersten Symphonic Band, 2 year(s) in Blake Music Liam Gersten is proud to have experienced what the Blake Music Program has to offer. After taking a break from trumpet playing for several years, he decided to give it a try at Blake. He took Concert Band his Junior year and Marching/Symphonic Band for his Senior year. Liam sought to improve his playing and live up to his teacher's high expectations. He will be studying data science at Carnegie Mellon University this fall.
Edem Hotor Symphonic Band, 4 year(s) in Blake Music Edem Hotor is proud to have been a member of Blake’s instrumental music department since her freshmen year. She was a member of Concert Band for two years, Symphonic Band for three years and Marching Band for three years. She would like to thank Mr. Eising and Mr. Barnes for being so encouraging and inspirational throughout her four years at Blake. She is a better and more confident musician today because of them. Edem will be attending Frostburg State University in the fall to Major in electrical engineering.
Thomas Hundley A CAPPELLA!, 3 year(s) in Blake Music Thomas Hundley has always loved music since he was a young. His interest in chorus began with the Strathmore Children's Choir. He was a member of Honors Concert Choir for one semester and a member of A CaAPPELLA! for two years. Thomas will be going to Montgomery College in the fall and will be studying Finance while working to become a loan officer.

Noah Johnson Jazz Ensemble & Symphonic Band, 4 year(s) in Blake Music Noah Johnson has been a part of Blake's music department since his freshman year. He was a member of the Jazz Ensemble and the Symphonic Band as a Saxophone section leader. He's also been a part of Blake's marching band all four years of high school, serving as Assistant Drum Major his junior year and Drum Major his senior year. Noah wants to thank his family for never giving up on him and pushing him to reach his goals. Noah will be attending the University of Florida in the fall to major in Biomedical Engineering.
Celeste Kane A CAPPELLA!, 4 year(s) in Blake Music Celeste Kane is honored to have been part of the phenomenal Blake choral department since her freshman year. She was a member of Women's Vocal Ensemble for a year and A CAPPELLA! for three years. She would like to thank her parents for their help in her musical education and general growth as a person. In the fall, Celeste will be attending the University of Maryland College Park to major in government and politics.
Khari Khan A CAPPELLA!, 4 year(s) in Blake Music Khari Khan is a 4 year member of chorus and 3 year member of Tri-M. He sang in Honors Concert Choir for two years and A CAPPELLA! for two years. Khari also got to represent Blake in the Men’s Demonstrations Chorus. Khari has taken guitar, piano and AP music theory (which is one of hardest courses at Blake.) His passion and high energy make him a joy to be around. In the fall, Khari will be attending Anne Arundel Community College for a year before heading to Johns Hopkins to major in Radiology.
Gavin Kutz Percussion Ensemble, 4 year(s) in Blake Music The first time Gavin tried to get into music was in elementary school where he tried flute and trumpet. Neither of these worked out. When Gavin entered high school he joined the percussion ensemble and found he enjoyed it. With new found confidence in his musical ability he joined marching band, and a guitar class his senior year. He plans to go to Montgomery College to pursue a higher education.
Wilmer Leon IV A CAPPELLA! & Jazz Ensemble, 4 year(s) in Blake Music Wilmer Leon IV has been a proud member of the music department all four years. He was a part of the Honors Concert Choir his freshman and sophomore years before being apart of A Cappella his last two years. He was also a trombone player on the Instrumental side, playing with Concert & Symphonic Bands, but primarily a member of the Jazz ensemble all four years. Wilmer will be attending Hampton University in the fall majoring in music education.

She has been a member of Honors Concert Choir for the past 3 years where she currently serves as secretary. She has enjoyed being part of an amazing family and will miss all the laughter and joy that we have shared. He has performed in the concert band, symphonic band, philharmonic orchestra, and the jazz ensemble. Out of school, Aidan is a music producer and engineer for artists in the area. In the fall, he will be attending Loyola University New Orleans to study music!
Erika McVeigh Symphonic Orchestra, 4 year(s) in Blake Music Erika McVeigh is beyond grateful for her time spent in the music department at Blake. She was in concert orchestra for her freshman year and has been in symphonic orchestra since her sophomore year. She served as section leader during her senior year and will be attending University of Maryland Baltimore County at the start of the next school year. Her experiences in the Blake Music Department have pushed her to become a better leader and a more confident person, preparing her for a successful future.

Maurice would like to thank the Z's for everything they've done for not only him, but his family as well. Maurice is going to miss singing for Blake's music department. He will forever carry their memories and songs in his heart.
Henry Morris Percussion Ensemble, 4 year(s) in Blake Music Henry Morris has been involved in the Blake Music program for all 4 years of his high school career including marching band, drum line, and anything else that required someone to bang a percussion instrument backstage. He started on the tenor drums his freshman year on both drum line and in concerts. He eventually played all manner of mallet instruments for concerts, but stayed a loyal tenor drummer for drum line. He served as tenor section leader his senior year. Henry will be attending Utah State University in the fall to major in computer engineering.

She was a member of Vocal Ensemble for one year and Honors Concert Choir for the past three years. She served as alto section leader during her senior year. Sally is also a part of Blakes Tri M music honors society. She will be attending Mount Saint Mary's University in Maryland to major in Criminal Justice and minor in music.

He was a member of the 1st violin section for 3 years of high school before choosing to take a step down and learn the viola for the betterment of the group as a whole. He only joins the music's department for one year and yet he has learned a lot in his Percussion Ensemble group in that time. Tommy will be attending Montgomery College and majoring in Illustration Arts, with plans to transfer to University of Maryland.

He was a member of Concert Band and Symphonic Band for the last 3 years. Manuel has also been part of the Jazz Ensemble for the past 2 years. He has played the also saxophone for the last 3 years and recently switched to tenor sax. Manuel will be attending Muhlenberg College in the fall to major in business administration.
Yordana Ribeiro A CAPPELLA! & Concert Choir, 4 year(s) in Blake Music Yordana Rocio Ribeiro is proud to have been a member of Blake's choral music department since her freshman year. She was a member of Vocal Ensemble for one year and Honors Concert Choir for another year. She worked up to be in A CAPPELLA! her last two years of high school. Yordana has proudly performed the National Anthem for home games all four years. She will be attending Montgomery College in the fall to major in biology and hopes to go into pre dental.
Gaddi Rodriguez Percussion Ensemble, 4 year(s) in Blake Music Gaddi Rodriguez has been a member of Blake percussion AND the Drumline for all four years at Blake. While being in the Drumline he balanced Cross Country and Marching Band practices, as well as his academic life. In his senior year he served as Bass Captain for the Drumline and performed with the Poms Drumline. Gaddi will be attending Loyola University of Maryland in the fall to major in Psychology and Forensic Studies.

She has been a part of the Marching Band for 4 years where she has served as Assistant Drum Major, Brass Captain, and Low Brass Section Leader. She has also been a part of Symphonic Band for 4 years and the Jazz Ensemble for 1 year. Eva has played Sousaphone, Tuba, Trombone, and Euphonium for the Blake Music Department. She would like to thank Mr. Barnes and Mr. Eising for all they have done for her and trusting her to play tuba when she's only 5 feet tall. Eva will be attending Towson University where she will study Secondary Education and will be a part of the Towson Marching Band.

Anjeannette Santana De Los Santos Symphonic Orchestra, 4 year(s) in Blake Music Anjie Santana has been in the music department since freshman year and is really glad to be part of such a diverse and inspiring music department. She was a member of both Concert and Symphonic Orchestra in those four years as a second violin. She really enjoyed the passion that went into the performances and is really going to miss it when she leaves for college. Aliya Smith Symphonic Band, 4 year(s) in Blake Music Aliya, also known as Alva within the Blake community, has been a part of the Blake instrumental music department since freshman year. They were in concert band for 3 years, symphonic band for 2 years and marching band for 3 years. After high school, Aliya will be working within the HACL core at Montgomery College with hopes to transfer to McDaniel College for a bachelors and masters degree. They will be majoring in English/Liberal Arts and minoring in Asian Studies.
Laura-Anh Tang Symphonic Orchestra, 4 year(s) in Blake Music Laura-Anh Trang has played the flute for 1 year and the violin for 8 years. She’s been a part of Blake’s Symphonic Orchestra, in first violin section, since her freshman year. Laura-Anh will be majoring in Biochemistry and attending Montgomery College for two years then transferring to University of Maryland College Park.

Austin Ung Symphonic Orchestra, 4 year(s) in Blake Music Austin Ung has been a part of the Blake Orchestra program since Freshman year. He has been playing the violin since the 4th grade. Despite being one of thousands of 2nd violins he has improved quite a bit, from taking the role of a 3rd violin to a 2nd. Once done with Blake, Austin dreams of going to the University of Maryland to major in Computer Engineering.

He's been in the Concert and Symphonic Bands, and since sophomore year he has been in the Jazz Ensemble. She would like to thank her grandparents for all their support in her music endeavours through the years. Abigail will be attending Montgomery College to major in electrical engineering and take part in the Air Force ROTC program.
Neil Vu Symphonic Band, 4 year(s) in Blake Music Neil has been a member of the Blake Instrumental Music program since in his freshman year. He is a veteran of the Blake Marching Band as a trumpet section leader. Over the last 3 years, he was a member of the Concert & Symphonic Bands. He also joined the Bocce team with Mr. Barnes as his Coach, where he won the MVP award. Neil loves to give back to his community both in the music classroom and on the Bocce team. He created the first annual Blake Bocce Day for students and teachers who wanted to try out the sport. Neil will attend at the University of Maryland College Park in the fall to study Government & Politics as his major & Public Policy as his minor. He cannot be more grateful to all the teachers and students here in school who helped prepare him for the future.
Bronwyn Weikert A CAPPELLA!, 4 year(s) in Blake Music Bronwyn Weikert is proud to have been a part of Blake's choral department for four years. She was in Honors Concert Choir her freshman year and has been in A CAPPELLA! for the last three years. She has served as a soprano section leader and as Tri-M president. Next year, Bronwyn will attend The University of North Carolina at Greensboro to study Vocal Performance and Arts Administration.
Jimin Yoon Symphonic Orchestra, 4 year(s) in Blake Music Jimin Yoon decided to be a part of the Blake Orchestra family for his time in high school during his freshman year. He started in Concert Orchestra as a freshman and moved to Symphonic Orchestra for the next three years. He feels lucky to have been a part of the family. He's thankful for the support of his mom, Mr. Eising, and his friends for supporting him throughout his time in the group. Jimin will be entering UMD as a computer engineering major.

Owen Zeigler Percussion Ensemble, 4 year(s) in Blake Music Owen Zeigler has been a member of Blake's instrumental music department for all four years of high school. He was a member of the Blake Drumline and the Percussion Ensemble, and he also played with the Symphonic Band. He has been the tenor drum section leader as well as the Drumline Captain. Next year, he will attend the University of Maryland to major in Computer Engineering.
Lea Zilneus Concert Band, 4 year(s) in Blake Music Lea Zilneus is glad to have been a member of Blake's instrumental music department since moving from Northwestern High School her sophomore year. She was a member of Northwestern's concert band and chorus for her freshman year, then when she got to Blake she was a member of concert band for the past 3 years. Mr. Eising has been very hard on her, making sure she's been making music and also succeeding in life. All the fussing he did has paid off because she became better in music and school.

He has also served as a guitarist for the Eubie Blake Jazz Ensemble since his freshman year. Joel will be attending the University of Maryland next fall where he will be studying Music Education.
